PARKING

Parking is limited along the course, we highly suggest that your team travel together as much as possible, ideally having a team vehicles(s) with non-competing drivers that can pick up and drop off team members and gear along the course as the race progresses. We do not guarantee parking for anyone wanting to travel to a start location, leave their car parked, then return to their car when they are finished with their segment.

DRIVE TIMES / DROP OFF TIMES

Your team Wingmate will be transporting team members to the start line of each race segment and be responsible for extracting racers and their equipment at the end of each segment. Below are some helps tips on driving the course to help you plan the logistics of getting your team around the course. Please include times for drop off / pick up into your calculations, especially in the first two transition zones as there may be extended wait time to get your car into the transition zone where you can drop off your teammates. We would suggest calculating a minimum of 30 minutes for drop off times at transitions zones in addition to your drive times. For instance it will take approximately 30 minutes to get from the start line of the trail race segment to the start line of the paddle race segment, plus an additional 30 minutes for drop off to the transition zone. If you have a fast runner racing the trail race segment and you leave past 5:45 AM from the trail segment start line, you may not arrive on time to for your teammate to start the paddle race segment on time. If your racer arrives late, the time your teammate had to wait for you to arrive will be added to your time for your segment and your team’s overall time.

SUPPORT VEHICLES

If you don’t have a support vehicle for your team, check out these sites where you can reserve an amazing support vehicle for your team. It will be important that you have a vehicle that is both comfortable and has the room necessary to carry all of your gear. If you have team members that are competing in more than one segment, it may be nice to have a vehicle with a bed in it where they can rest in between race segments.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO START LINE OF THE TRAIL RACE SEGMENT (TRL)

The Trail Race segment (TRL) segment begins at 5:00 AM and we suggest runners show up no later than 4:30 AM to get situated, use the bathroom, ask questions, and get their bearings before the race starts. Racers will need to be dropped off at the Ross Creek Trailhead in Hideout Utah on the north side of Jordanelle Reservoir. Please be prepared for congestion as everyone will be starting this segment of the race at the same time.

We expect the fastest runners could finish the TRL segment in under two hours. If your teammate is one of these people you will need to plan on having your teammate that is racing the paddle segment of the race at the paddle start line no later than 6:30AM to get prepared. We expect the average time for completion of this segment to be two to three hours. Please be prepared for traffic congestion in this area and plan your drive accordingly so that you can get your teammates to their transition zones on time.
